Wasco Baseball Travel Teams 2014 Season Highlights

 

 

The 11U Wasco Wildcats placed 2ND in the Glen Ellyn Battle for the Bunny on April 19th.  In order to advance to the championship game, the Wildcats came from behind to win on a walk off hit!  Congratulations Wildcats!!!

 

The 10u Wasco Warriors placed 1st in the "All For One, One For All" tournament in Rockford April 26-27. The Warriors averaged 11.25 runs scored and 5.75 runs allowed per game.

 

The 11U Wasco Warriors won the Arlington Heights Turf Showdown Tournament on April 12th - 13th.  They were 4-0 for the tournament!

 

The 13U Wasco Warriors won the 2014 Mad Dog May Slugfest tournament in Streamwood. The boys went 2 - 0 in pool play, 5 - 0 total. They defeated the Northwest Knights in the championship game 12 - 4 on Sun.

 

The 11U Wasco Wolverines took 2nd place in the 2014 West Chicago Showdown on May 18th.

 

The 9u Wildcats got their first tournament win. The boys went 5 for 5 beating the Batavia Bull Dogs Red in the championship game 14-6 at the 9U Batavia Bulldog Brawl!  Congratulations!

 

Congratulations to the 11u Wildcats for their 2nd place finish in the Honor the Fallen tournament in Crystal Lake May 26th.

 

The 13U Wasco Warriors won the West Chicago Swingin" Cats Tournament in West Chicago this past weekend. Defeated Illinois Edge in the semi's 4 - 3 and beat Indiana Chiefs 2 - 1 in the Championship scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 7th.

 

Congratulations to the 10u Wasco Wildcats on their 1st place finish in the Algonquin Storm Classic on Fathers Day. The Wildcats went 5-0 in tournament play! Way to go Wildcats!

 

Dominic Buono(right) and Ryan Skala(left) from the 11U Wasco Warriors were selected to be on the all tournament All Star team at the week long Youth Baseball Nationals Tournament in Elizabethtown, KY from June 6th thru 12th.  This national tournament featured teams from across the country. Congratulations to both!

 

Also at the Youth Baseball Nationals Tournament, 11U Wasco Warrior Caleb Hubbard participated in the all team skills competition. His event was the Speed Chaser. The event timed how fast the boys could run one lap around all of the bases. Caleb came in first place with an amazing time of 13.38 seconds. He raced against boys from across the country and brought home the win!  Congratulations Caleb!

 

The 10U Wasco Wildcats captured 1st place at the USSSA 2A State Tournament on Sunday, June 22 in Cary, IL. The Wildcats went 5-1 scoring 48 runs and allowing only 15. An all around team effort by the Wildcats pitching, hitting and fielding was too much for the Dixon Rebels in the Championship game. Wasco defeated Dixon 7-3 to take home the 1st place trophy!

 

Congratulations to the Wasco Wildcats 10U for winning the Lenz Field "Play The Turf" Championship in Jacksonville, IL on Sunday June 29th. The Wildcats went 5-0 (including a shutout) in the tourney scoring 51 runs while giving up only 8. An all around team effort powered the Wildcats to their 3rd tournament win in 3 weeks!

 

Congratulations to the 10u Warriors on their 2nd place finish in the KCBL Silver tourney on Sunday. The Warriors were 2-1 in the tourney and had two come-from-behind walk-off wins to advance to the championship game. Way to go boys!

 

Congratulations to the 10U Wasco Wildcats who won the 2014 KCBL Tier I Tournament.  The Wildcats went 3-0 with 32 runs scored while allowing only 8.  With their win the Wildcats capped off an impressive season which gave them 4 first place tournament finishes in 4 weeks.  For the 2014 season the Wildcats won 4 of their 6 completed tournaments.  Way to go Wasco!

 

Congratulations to the 13U Wildcats for their 1st place finish at the Stateline Speedometer tournament in Beloit, WI in May. The Wildcats went 4-0 and outscored their opponents 52-14. Good job Wildcats!

 

Wasco 10U All Stars win the Lake in the Hills Memorial Championship with an impressive 11-0 victory over Geneva.

 

Wasco 10U All Stars sweep the McHenry Classic Tournament and defeat Lake Villa 11-3 to win the Championship.

 

11U Wolverines take 2nd Place in The Ace of Diamonds Tournament in Wisconsin Dells!

 


The 8U Coach Pitch All-Star team won three strait games in one day to fight back in come back fashion to finish in the top 4 at the 16th Annual Sandwich Summer Tournament. They Never Gave Up! Congratulations!

 

Congratulations to the 11U All Stars. They won 2nd place in the July 2014 Brian Krueger Memorial Tournament in Lake in the Hills. Way to go kids!

 

Congratulations to the 9U Wildcats on their 1st place finish in the Wisconsin Dells Season Finale tournament. They went 4-0 on their way to the title! Way to finish the season boys!

 

Wasco 10U All Stars won their third consecutive championship.  The team took first place in the Barrington Classic defeating the Lake Zurich Grizzlies 16-5.

Congratulations to the 10U All Stars for an awesome season!

 


 
The Wasco 14U All Star team placed 3rd in the Brian Krueger Memorial tournament in Lake in the Hills, Illinois on July 14th with a 3-1-1 record, only losing to the eventual champion in the semi-finals.  In the 3rd place game, after six innings of back and forth baseball, the team won in dramatic fashion with a 3-run walk-off home run to beat Geneva 10-7.
