Wasco Baseball Travel Teams 2015 Season Highlights

Congratulations to the 11u Warriors, who finished 2nd in the Reverse The Curse tournament in Elgin May 1-3. The Warriors went 3-1 in the tournament, including a come from behind 6-3 win in the semi-final game.


Congratulations to the 10u Wildcats who won the Aurora Travel Spring Fling Tournament May 1-3. The Wildcats were a perfect 5-0, averaging 17 runs scored and 5 runs allowed per game! Great job boys!


Congratulations to the 10U Wildcats on their tournament win in Freeport May 8-9. They went 3-0 in the tournament and defeated the Sterling Sharks 15-5 in the Championship game!


Congratulations to the 14U Wildcats, who defeated the Southside Express 11-4 to win the Fox Valley Freedom 2015 championship May 8-9!


Wasco Wolverines 12U finished first at the Geneva Memorial Day Tournament this weekend.  Over the course of the weekend, the team went 4-0 and gave up a total of 6 runs over the four games while beating teams from Geneva, Kaneland, Lombard and Glen Ellyn.  As an added bonus, the team was honored on the field at the Kane County Cougars game on Sunday night.  Andrew Jimenez got to throw out the first pitch and Mason Kruse got to serve as bat boy for the game.


The 12 Warriors came in 2nd place in the McHenry Outlaws Classic on May 17th.  The Warriors went 4-1 in the tournament.  


The 14U Wasco All-Star team won the St. Charles Stars and Stripes Travel Tournament over Memorial Day.  The boys were 4-1 for the tournament and beat the Elmhurst Electric 6-4 in the finals.  This was a awesome accomplishment for the boys beating teams that are all year travel teams.  Congratulations!


The 12U Warriors came in second place for the second weekend in a row.  The boys played in the Woodridge Bulldogs Memorial Day Tournament.  They went 3-1 for the tournament before falling in the championship game.


The 12U Warriors won the Waukesha Blazers 41st Annual Ken Gardiner Memorial Classic.  The team went 5-0 for the weekend beating a very good Wisconsin Spartan Select team 3-0 in the final game.  This was the Warriors 3 week in a row to be playing in the championship game and their first tournament win!  Congratulations!


Congratulations to the 11u Warriors on winning the Waterpark Capital City Classic tournament in Wisconsin Dells June 6-7. The Warriors had a slow start on Saturday but got hot in playoff games on Sunday, beating the Elgin Warriors 13-3 and the Chesterton, IN Vipers 9-3 to take the title!


The 13U Wasco Wolverines are the Algonquin Classic Champions.  The Wasco Wolverines were short two players this weekend and after being seeded 5th in pool play, the 13U Wasco Wolverines showed there tenacity by winning 3 straight games to win the Algonquin Classic title with a 4-1 record. 


12U Wildcats went 3-1 in route to the Championship at the Huntley Red Raiders Summer Classic Tournament June 13th-14th.  Solid pitching, outstanding defense and timely hitting fueled the Wildcats throughout the tournament including the championship game with a 5-3 victory over the Aurora Aces Gold.  This was the 12U Wildcats first Championship - congratulations Wildcats!


Congratulations to the 9U Warriors for winning the Wheeling Play the Turf Tournament on June 15th.  The boys went 4-0 for the tournament and beat the Sycamore Titans for the championship!


14U Wasco Warriors won the Backyard Bash Tournament in Brookfield, Wisconsin June 21st.  They went 4-1 for the tournament.  The championship game pitted the Warriors against the Batavia Bandits. Batavia jumped out to a 2 - 0 lead, the Warriors tied it, Batavia went ahead 6 - 2, Warriors tied it again. Batavia took a 10 - 6 lead going into the bottom of the 5th. Warriors not only tied it but took their first lead of the game. Eventually winning 16 - 10.


The 12U Wasco Wolverines captured the USSSA Cary Father's Day Tournament Championship, winning the championship game by slaughter rule in 5 innings, 12-4, over Huntley Blue National.  The team was able to overcome a rough pool play Saturday by winning 3 games on Sunday behind the pitching of Eric Lee, Mick Howlett, Andrew Jimenez and Nick DeMarco and clutch hitting and defense by the entire line-up.


The Wasco Wildcats 14U sweep the Streamwood MadDods Father's Day Classic with a record of 4-0.  The Wildcats defeated the Fox Valley Shamroxs 12-4 in the championship game.


9U Warriors win the Midwestern Baseball Bombsquad Championship in Michigan City, Indiana.  Beating The Westfield (Indianapolis) Indians and going 5-1 over the weekend.


The 12U Wasco Warriors won the 22nd Annual Seminole Classic Tournament on 6/28.  The boys all played really well, going 4-0-1 for the weekend.  On championship Sunday, the Warriors gave up 1 hit in 3 games!  Powered by great pitching and even better fielding, the boys only gave up 6 runs all weekend.  They beat the ProPlayer Hurricanes 10-0 in the championship game.  It was their second tournament victory of the season.  Congratulations Warriors!  


The 9U all stars won the Aurora tournament over the weekend. The championship game went to 9 innings and the boys battled back from a 0-4 score to beat Batavia 5-4.


The Wolverines finish 2nd in the St. Charles Summerslam!  The 13u Wasco Wolverines came from behind late in two games to earn a spot in the championship game against a tough Plainfield Raiders team.


Our 9U Wildcat's won the Kane County Baseball Leagues Gold Division this past weekend.  The boys went 3-1 and won 12-3 against Sycamore Titans in the Championship game. Congratulations to our 9U team and their 3rd tournament win in a row!


The 12U Wildcats Wildcats went 3-1 in route to the KCBL GOLD Division Championship in Aurora July 11-12th.  The Wildcats battled all weekend coming back from numerous deficits and exhibiting a never give up attitude.  The Championship game included five lead changes before the Wildcats overtook the Geneva Vikings for good with a five run 6th inning in route to a 12-8 victory. Congratulations Wildcats and bring on Cooperstown Dreams Park.


Wasco 9U all stars had another great weekend and won the Carol Stream tournament. The boys have now completed all stars and won all three tournaments we competed in. Congratulations!!!!


The 8U Travel All-Stars won the Lake In The Hills All-Star Tournament July 19th.  The team's record was 5-0 for the weekend!  Congratulations All-Stars!!!


Wasco 8u goes 4-1 for the tournament. Defeats Park Ridge, Bartlett, Westchester and Roselle to take 1st place in the Roselle Summer Classic. Congratulations and nice work boys!
